Tarpon Point Marina to Cayo Costa
With nine miles of beautiful beaches and acres of pine forests, oak-palm hammocks and mangrove swamps, this barrier island park is a Gulf Coast paradise. Cayo Costa is accessible only by private boat or ferry. Visitors may see manatees and pods of dolphins in the waters around the 2,426 acre park, as well as a spectacular assortment of birds. Enjoy the day with swimming, fishing, jet skiing, and shelling. Then stay overnight at the Boca Grande Marina, which is near many great shops, restaurants and areas of interest on the island.
Explore Boca Grande
Visit Boca Grande beaches by golf cart. Then enjoy lunch at Temptations, the freshest seafood in town with an old Florida atmosphere that can’t be beat! End the day with dinner at the Pink Elephant, Boca Grande’s premier eating and drinking establishment.
Remote and undiscovered, North Captiva Island is accessible only by ferry, private boat or small plane. This private island community is reminiscent of old Florida as it once was during a simpler time. Just 3 miles offshore, this tropical paradise is part of the Lee Island Coast barrier island chain in South West Florida. Anchor and experience the island with a day of swimming, fishing, jet skiing, and shelling. Enjoy lunch on Cabbage Key, then stay overnight at the ‘Tween Waters Inn, with dinner at the Old Captiva House.
Take a Kayak tour of Buck Key on Captiva Island and experience the “secret” trails and hidden coves in the mangrove forests. Stay overnight at South Seas Resort, a resort village and wildlife sanctuary with boundless opportunity for both adventure and relaxation.
